1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Molecolarium application ("the App"), developed by Meres ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Apple Inc. is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content.
2. License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices that you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Usage Rules. The license is conditional on your acceptance of these Terms.
You may not: (a) decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App; (b) rent, lease, lend, sell, or redistribute the App; (c) use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights.
3. User account
Some features require account creation. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for any activity performed under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
You can request account deletion at any time by writing to privacy@meresdev.com.
4. Auto-renewable subscriptions
4.1 Purchase and duration
The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock Pro features. The following plans are currently available:
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Annual
- Monthly / Annual at Student rate (verification required)
Exact pricing and duration are displayed in the App at purchase time and on the App Store product pages. Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon confirmation.
4.2 Auto-renewal
Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription auto-renews for an equivalent period. Renewal is charged to your Apple ID within 24 hours prior to expiration.
4.3 Free trial
Some plans include a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription activates automatically at the standard price. Only one trial per subscription group is allowed per Apple ID.
4.4 Management and cancellation
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions at any time from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: no partial refunds are issued.
4.5 Student rate
Student plans require verification of a university domain. The discounted rate is valid for a limited period and can be renewed upon re-verification. We reserve the right to suspend access if non-compliant use is detected.
4.6 Promotional codes
We may distribute promotional codes granting free access periods or discounted rates. Codes are subject to expiration and to the terms specified at the time of distribution.
5. Content and intellectual property
The App, its design, prepared content (chemistry database, formulary, examples, audits), graphics, and trademarks are owned by Meres or their respective owners, protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Public-domain chemistry data (e.g. periodic table, GHS phrases) are used within the limits permitted by law.
The content you produce using the App (calculations, Lab Notebook entries, PDF exports) remains your property. We claim no rights over the data you produce.
6. Accuracy of calculations
The App is designed as an educational and reference tool. Although the 107+ calculators are validated with mathematical audits (1300+ tests against reference literature), the App does not replace professional judgment: for laboratory applications, safety regulations, pharmacological dosing, or critical decisions, always verify with official sources and qualified personnel.
GHS information, H/P statements, and chemical safety data are provided for informational purposes and may not reflect the most recent regulatory updates. For professional use, refer to the official Safety Data Sheets (SDS) from the product supplier.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meres shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or scientific/experimental errors.
Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amounts paid for the App in the preceding 12 months; (b) 50 euros.
8. Changes to the App
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the App and its features at any time (in whole or in part), including by adding or removing individual calculators, sections, or Pro features. When possible, we will communicate significant changes through the App.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect App changes or regulatory requirements. The most recent version is always available at this URL. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page indicates when the Terms were last modified. By continuing to use the App after an update, you accept the new Terms.
10. Apple as third-party beneficiary
You and we acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and Meres, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. However, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will be entitled to enforce the Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising from or connected to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Milan, except for non-derogable rights granted to the consumer under the laws of their country of residence.
